Cast versus Extruded Acrylic: engraving and cutting.
Cast Acrylic
Best to engrave
Complicated logos, fine tiny lines: they all come out beautifully on cast acrylic:
A clearly defined white frosted look, best etched by a laser beam,
nicely contrasts agains clear edges
Extruded Acrylic
Cheaper, looks like glass but does not engrave easily
When the piece is not going to be engraved but just cut, extruded acrylic works best and is less expensive than cast acrylic.
It leaves clear edges that resembles glass.
Because of this, engraving is more difficult, but still can be done on most densities of materials, leaving a white frosted shadow.
